Cal-Imaging began in 1986, initially focusing our expertise in the sales and service of fax machines. In addition to sales and service, we also provided a full variety of supplies and accessories for the fax market.
In 1988 we opened our production department and became involved in the laser printer, fax and photocopier toner cartridge recycling industry. This new industry appeared to have great potential and we felt it would provide us with a valuable additional product line to offer our clients.
Through our involvement with toner cartridge recycling, we found ourselves becoming experienced service and support providers for laser printers and copiers. Today, more than 75% of our total service work is performed on laser printers, photocopiers and multi-function machines.
In our endeavor to provide total scanning, imaging and document management solutions, Cal-Imaging Specialists has collaborated with Computhink, a leading provider of Enterprise Content Management solutions. Computhink`s ViewWise product suite has simplified document capture and retrieval, provided email archiving and addressed complex workflow automation needs of specific industry segments.
